Tinkergarten

Let Wonder Lead utilizes the Tinkergarten curriculum, a program designed by education experts for learners ages 18 months - 8 years old. The child-led, play-based approach is designed to support a wide range of children to engage in exploratory, meaningful learning, all while deepening their connection to the natural world we all share.

This winter, we focus on Persistence - the skill to keep going when faced with both expected and unexpected obstacles. Our joyful Animal Superheroes lessons will give kids examples of real creatures to emulate when encountering adversity in their own lives while engaging them in fun invitations to play.

All classes are led by Kristen Jones Unger, a mom of two daughters who has been sparking child-led nature play in the woods for the past two years. Kristen also is delighted to be a substitute at Friends Neighborhood Nature School, where she gets to spend extra time with many of her former, current, and future Tinkergarten explorers.
